Teaching is my true passion. I love to see the light go on when the student understands what is being taught or explained. I have seen the light go on in my student's eyes plenty of times. I have home schooled my three children for the past twelve years using an accredited curriculum. After 12 years of home schooling, my oldest daughter went to college for four years. She just graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. My son is attending Flashpoint Academy in Chicago. He is focusing on Film and Broadcast. My youngest daughter is currently in her fourth year of high school in which I continue to home school.

I graduated with a degree in Journalism. I wrote two weekly columns for a newspaper, which was a very exciting experience. Writing for a newspaper taught me how important it is to write accurately so that everybody could understand my column. Spelling and writing in correct sentences are the most important part of the newspapers. The less work on proofreading the Editor had to do on my columns, the happier he was!

I love to see students reading and writing interesting and creative stories because that tells me that their mind is expanding and always learning!
