I have been a foreign language and English teacher for more than 30 years in public and private schools in Virginia. I have taught all age levels from Pre- School age through adult age students. I am currently teaching Spanish, exploratory French and Latin Etymology in a private elementary school. I have taught high school and was the Foreign Language Department Head of a prestigious independent school in Virginia Beach, Va.
I am looking to retire from teaching in the coming months, but want to continue working with students interested in learning a foreign language or receiving help with their foreign language class. I would love to tutor English to non- speakers and English to those students needing help in language arts as well as reading.
I am a dedicated educator who will work with all learning abilities with compassion and much patience.

My students in the past have won National Foreign Language awards for the National Spanish Exams given once a year to high school students. My students in my present school take a regional exam at the end of their 8th grade to determine whether they may receive a Spanish One credit going into their freshman year of high school. My students have been very successful with this exam.
