Tutoring Style and/or Experience
Currently, I'm a freshman at Temple University, enrolled in the Honors and TUTeach programs. In the TUTeach program, I'm able to gain valuable experience as a teacher, as well as earn my degree in both Biology and Education. In the future, I plan on being a secondary school science teacher (most likely for bio or chem), and I'd like to eventually teach college classes. In the Honors program, I'm currently taking courses in chemistry, biology, calculus, among other general education classes.
As for why I'd like to be a tutor, I've always been interested in teaching, and tutoring/teaching would provide me with some great experience. I also get a sense of personal satisfaction from helping and teaching others - there's something about seeing others learn and succeed that makes me feel accomplished and good about myself. I believe I'm very good at helping others learn, and identifying their individual learning style. I truly enjoy seeing others improve. I've had much experience in teaching/tutoring people of all ages; I worked at a daycare mentoring and tutoring school-aged children, and have volunteered for a number of years tutoring various subjects in high school for National Honors Society.
