Tutor Personal Information

I tutor math, science, and computer science from 6th grade to college senior level.

My interest in learning is infectious. My students always come away feeling that their time with me is well spent.

I earned a BS degree in Physics, and earned two Masters degrees in math and in physics. They were obtained from the University of Maryland and from Johns Hopkins University. My teachers have been some of the best in the country, and I've adopted their excitement and dynamism to my teaching style.

My strongest mathematical fields are pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, analytic geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.

My strongest areas in science are general science and physics.

My strongest areas in computer science are programming in Perl, C and FORTRAN.

For students who require remedial mathematics help, I have found that they respond very positively to the Trachtenberg Speed Mathematics system. Typically, they see whole-letter-grade improvements in as little in two months.

I most pay attention to cultivating a student’s ability to think independently and creatively about problems. I challenge them to strive for excellence. My teaching style is friendly and interactive.

I have helped students prepare for SAT, GMAT, and class tests. I've assisted them with their homework assignments and reviewed their completed work.
