Originally a public school music teacher after college, I later worked with adult remedial education (GED preparation). I received a masters degree in Information Systems followed by 18 years with Hewlett-Packard during which I used Microsoft Office applications extensively to do my work. As the manager of a large database application within the company, I often trained users on enhancements and new features.

Now that I tutor adult students in computer skills, I prefer they sit at their own computer and learn by doing. I train in person on Oregon's North Coast. I can also train online by connecting our computers. This method works very well.
