I have experience tutoring middle school and high school students in both math and science (Chemistry, Biology). I taught two Biology laboratory classes for two years at Stanford University in 2004 and 2005. I have also tutored younger children in elementary school in math and reading through my involvement in the Americorps program City Year New York in 2005.My tutoring style encourages active learning from my students. They are asked to think through problems on their own, going through each step aloud as we work to arrive at the answer. I am enthusiastic about learning and enjoy helping students reach their full potential. I also have experience mentoring students through the college application process and can help with admission essays and applications.
