I believe that all students can do well in their studies, the key is to find a way to teach them that they can understand. People are different, there is no one thing that works for everyone. This is as true in teaching as it is every other area of life. Classrooms have too many students to allow for each student to get the focus and support they need to succeed. Many students need one-on-one help to supplement the teaching that they get in school.

Teaching is my passion. I love helping kids to understand their subjects better. Many times students feel that they cannot learn something or that they aren't as smart as the other kids. They get frustrated and school makes them begin to feel bad about themselves. This situation makes it even more difficult for them to learn and it becomes a viscous cycle. With a little additional help, they can get caught up. Tutoring allows for the teacher to teach the student in the way that best helps them understand the material. It begins to click for them and things that once seemed difficult are now easy. The students often begin to like what they hated. This is very rewarding, not only for the student but for the teacher as well.
