I am involved in the community in a number of arenas. I am an accomplished amateur ballerina and choreographer, and have been involved in musical theatre productions. I have won first, second and third place ribbons at the Yolo County Fair for my photography. My partner and I have won 2nd place in a debate tournament and I won 7th place speaker award in the same tournament. I created and presented displays for my local County archives from 2004 to the present, and I spoke at the Women's History Month Luncheon (2006).
? 1997 – present. Performed in more than 20 public ballet performances for Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop, the City of Davis, Dynamic Dancing with Yvette, and the Woodland Opera House.
? 2002 – 2006. Performed with the Yolo County Homeschool Madrigal Choir. Invited performers to The Californian Assisted Living retirement home, Woodland Hospital, Winter’s Christmas Festival, Placerville Renaissance Faire, Auburn Renaissance Faire, Gibson House.
? 2005. Traveled to Brazil to assist in a scientific survey of fresh water crustaceans.
? 2006 – present. Choreographed and performed seven public ballets (for single and multiple dancers) for Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop, Dynamic Dancing with Yvette, and the Woodland Opera House.
? 2006. Woodland Opera House. Performed as a featured dancer in the theatre production of the Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, which was nominated for seven Elly Awards (winning Best Set Design), and won four Chelsea awards.
? 2006. Founded and served as artistic director for “Begin” a dance group for young Woodland dancers. Performed at Woodland Opera house.
? 2007 – present. Founded “Patience, Grasshopper” sang at Woodland Farmer’s Market. Public entertainment.
