I feel tutoring helps student gain confidence by excelling from a slight push. I try building a relationship with the student to allow them to make a comfortable environment for them to learn. When tutoring, I want to challenge the student to excel, I will give them advice and guidance but let them be the one to come of the explanation or answer as this will help them gain a true understanding. I will give them good summaries and explanations of topics they are weak in to allow them to understand the topics at hand.
