Tutor Personal Information

I am currently a senior mathematics major at The College of New Jersey with plans to pursue a PhD after graduation. I was trained as a tutor by TCNJ's Tutoring Center, and since then I have tutored many high school and college students. In particular, I tutor high school students in algebra, calculus, and SAT-Prep, and I tutor several advanced mathematics courses at my college.

In my tutoring sessions, whenever possible, I ask guiding questions which help the students discover the answers for themselves using knowledge they already have. If the student does not have the requisite knowledge, I will offer hints. This method of tutoring leads to greater understanding and retention on the part of the student.
