Tutoring Style and/or Experience
I have successfully assisted my students in making significant strides in their learning, and I welcome the opportunity to do the same for your child. All of my instruction is based upon the belief that good teaching happens by active engagement rather than passive transmission.
I have a Master's Degree in Learning Sciences from Northwestern University, and a B.A. in Comparative Literature from NYU. I am qualified and experienced in tutoring learners of all ages in English Literature, Reading Comprehension, Writing, History/Social Studies, and French. I also have experience tutoring students in K-8 Math and Science.
I work with most of my students for a long period of time, and sometimes create a curriculum for them. Other students request help with a particular assignment/exam. The parents and students I have helped appreciate my individual attention and commitment.
