I feel the best way for me to help a student learn something is to have them work through the problem and show them a problem solving strategy for the places that they get stuck. In other words I work through the problems with them. I find it easy to explain to students in simple words what some teachers make difficult due to time constraints in class. I am especially good at doing this in math and science.
