Tutoring Style and/or Experience
I have tutored students in elementary school, middle school, high school, and college. My primary focus has been on mathematics although I have also tutored in physics, reading, and writing. In addition, I was an SAT Tutor for the Critical Reading and Writing segment of the test. I have taken advanced classes in mathematics, engineering, and related fields.
My approach to tutoring is to provide the student with a set of problem-solving tools so that he/she will be able to solve problems on in-class assignments and tests. At the same time, I recognize the value of working multiple example problems. Further, I strive to help the student understand the subject's importance and relevance both now and in the future.
