The best way to teach is to use personal experiences, from both inside the classroom, and outside the classroom. I have worked with both traditional students, and non-traditional students who work full-time and attend classes part-time and/or online. The best way to help a student learn is to relate the task to be learned to something they truly enjoy or comprehend - like teaching poetry through musical lyrics. You have to be invested to learn, and engaging a student using non-traditional methods is an excellent way to ensure a more enjoyable learning experience.
