Tutoring Style and/or Experience
I enjoy working with students one-on-one or in small groups. I love making learning fun for students who are struggling or bored in their classes. I also can help students who are doing well learn their material in more depth.
I help students review their course material and write appropriate questions for the student. I walk students through some of the questions, and then let them do some individually to ensure they are comfortable with the material. Seeing a student work through a problem successfully brings me happiness!
I also check homework and will review quizzes and tests with students, and will gladly write students practice exams. I often write harder exams than the student will see, so the real thing is a piece of cake after working with me. My tutees have benefited from the challenging work I give them and have found success in the classroom.
I am available to help students with homework, test preparation, and organization. Science and writing are my greatest strengths. I struggled with math as a student, and as a result, I know some techniques to help others facing the same or similar problems. I can meet students at Starbucks, a local library, etc. I can certainly be flexible about my rate; I know the economy is terrible.
I look forward to helping you or your child!
