Tutoring Style and/or Experience
Every student is different, and the learning experience is different for every student. Therefore, I am willing to explain a difficult concept in three or four different ways until I figure out how to help make it "click." Every person deserves the chance to achieve his or her greatest academic and intellectual potentials; I am driven to give my students that chance. I am especially devoted to algebra. Not only does learning to do algebra help a student to develop symbolic manipulation and abstract thinking, but it also acts as the "gateway math," opening the path to the sciences and higher mathematics, and strengthening critical thinking skills.
