Tutoring Style and/or Experience
Experience: Since Januaury 2008 I have worked as a tutor at a local school district (2 schools, 5 classes). Before this I was an employee in a college tutoring center for math and science. I've also been an assistance coach for club soccer (age 15-17), personal soccer coach for ages 12-25.
Style: to understand a concept a person needs to relate to it in some way. Learning styles range among students so I attempt to hone in on methods that work for the student. I emphasis conceptual understanding prior to detailed applications so that new concepts are approached with comfort and familiarity rather than fear.
