I taught in the public school for 9 years and have been tutoring privately (one-on-one) for 4 years. I have developed an approach to reading instruction/ remediation that is fun and systematic and yields improvement in reading scores after just a few lessons. Many students I have tutored have improved 1-2 grade levels in reading after just a few short months.
A fun structured learning environment with lots of prizes and rewards help children achieve positive results in their reading, fluency and comprehension.
Although my speciality is in reading I also tutor other elementary subjects such as Language Arts, Math, Spelling, Writing, Science and Social Studies.
