During my last two years of high school I tutored four eighth grade students in Advanced Algebra and provided mentoring to them as they prepared to enter into high school. During the summer of 2006, I worked at Foundations for Education, a non-profit tutoring organization based in Palo Alto, California. I wrote and taught math, reading, and art lesson plans to students grades K-8. I learned how to work effectively with children, both academically and recreationally.
