During my career in the United States Army I had numerous opportunities to instruct students in both formal and informal settings and the experience was always a positive one. Teaching/tutoring gives me the chance to assist an individual who may be experiencing some difficulty, yet is intent on learning new material. While a highly structured environment has some advantages, I prefer an environment that is less formal and open, yet based on mutual respect.
