I will not only work with the student, but also the student's parent(s) and teacher(s) to determine the students study habits and areas of weakness. I begin by assisting the student in developing proper study habits and organization skills that coincide to his/her personliaty (different people learn differently). As far as covering material, it is my policy to cover the basics (developing the proper foundation) and then teach the student how to build off of those. I encourage the learning of fundamental principles without the use of technical aides (calculators, equation solvers, etc.). Once these principles are firmly established use of these devices is recommended.
