My name is Lindsay Beardall, and I'm just starting out tutoring, though I'm not exactly new to the concepts. I've been helping my brothers and sister with their work (and sometimes my paretns) for years. Let me tell you a little more about my experience in each of the areas I'd like to tutor. English is by far my strongest subject. I'm aiming to eventually become a freelance editor, so I'm a stickler for spelling and punctuation. All through school I had Honors English classes, creative writing classes, and as a Senior I was in an Advanced Placement English class, which is a college level course. I've taken some college courses in Journalism/Communications, Philosophy, and English. I have also worked at Hale Centre Theatre for the past 6 1/2 years, so I know quite a bit about the performing arts. I'm quite computer savvy (including Microsoft Office) also, so I am more than willing to help with that, too. I'm an avid reader and I enjoy writing poetry and short stories, as well as teaching what I love to others. I know that every person learns differently, and I easily adapt to different styles.

I will make a program for your child that advances them in the subject they need help with, tailor it specifically to their needs and mode of learning, and hopefully they will get to the point where they enjoy the subject they're learning about. Schedule-wise I can be very flexible, but the best time for me is after 6:00 and on Saturdays. I am very excited to meet you and your child, and start helping out.
