I try to tailor tutoring sessions to each student's learning style and strengths in order to optimize the time we have together. After assessing the areas in which a student needs improvement, I bring in materials and design activities to address those areas.

I have a great deal of experience helping undergraduate and graduate students; I have tutored college students for six years, working with both private tutees and with students seeking help at the Pierce College Tutoring Center and at the Saint Martin's College Writing Center. In addition, I served as a teaching assistant in college English lab classes, assisting larger groups of students.

I also have experience working with high school students and have taught tutorial courses in English and Medieval History for a classical tutorial in Maryland.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Martin's College and currently hold a B.A. in English from that institution. I am currently an English graduate student with a 4.0 GPA. In addition to composition, creative writing, theory, and literature courses, I have also taken courses in teaching composition and in study skills and can help students to develop an educational plan that will help them succeed.

I am equally comfortable working with students in remedial and gifted programs, and I can assist students in preparing for the English sections of college placement tests, the SAT, and the GRE.

In addition to regular tutoring services, I offer online tutoring.
