Worked as an English/Writing Tutor for the University of Guam. That is my only PAID tutoring experience. However, friends, family, and classmates have been coming to me for several years for friendly help and advice on their writing projects, resumes, and school and job applications. Although reading comprehension, spelling, and writing have always come easily for me, I understand that for many these subjects are very difficult. My math skills, for instance, are poor and I always wished for a tutor or teacher who would not make me feel stupid. Therefore, I strive for a relaxed tutoring style that encourages students, rather than discouraging them.
