Tutoring Style and/or Experience
Friendly and individually paced. Although I have worked with several students one-on-one over a long term, most of my tutoriing experience (four years of it) has been through a writing center where I worked with walk-in clients. However, I also have several years' experience with classroom teaching at the college level, where I used one-on-one conferences a good deal. I have found that the one-on-one, conversational dynamic tends to be far more productive than a lecture-and-test format.
