Tutor Personal Information

I engage in a relaxed, and down to earth tutoring style. I strive to meet the individual needs of each of my students, and empower these students to do their best. I also encourage the development of strategies for improving on all aspects of my students educational and social experiences in order to make their lives in school more pleasant and rewarding. My background varies. I have a Masters Degree in Deaf Education and am currently enrolled an Certificate of Advanced Studies program in special education at Fairfield University in Connecticut. I have taught multiply disabled deaf students in a residential school for the deaf, as well as a large amount of variously disabled students in the public school setting. I am certifiec to teach elementary level to high school level students in a wide variety of subjects. I also have experience with one-to-one resource room support in the public schools with deaf and learning disabled students.
