Tutoring Style and/or Experience
I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Classics, writing a dissertation on Ovid’s Metamorphoses. I first studied Latin at Loyola Marymount University, where I majored in Classics and English literature. I have had the privilege of teaching beginning to advanced Latin at the high school and undergraduate level for twelve years: first at the Marlborough School in Los Angeles, where I taught levels III-AP Latin, and subsequently as a graduate student at the University of Chicago, where I taught undergraduate Latin language and literature courses. I have privately tutored throughout my teaching years, and have experience working with home-schooled students. I can offer help in the following areas:
•General test preparation and homework help
•Reviewing and drilling Latin grammatical concepts
•AP Latin and Latin SAT Subject Test preparation
•Supplemental sight-reading
