I began teaching/tutoring others in foreign languages when I was in my mid-teens. My high school only offered three years of French, and no other languages. I was the only student who wanted a fourth year of French, so the district wouldn't offer it. Instead, they let me teach introductory French classes in the elementary and junior high schools. As a result, interest in language increased, and within a few years, the school was offering classes in other languages as well. I began teaching adult Hebrew classes in 1980, beginning with modern Hebrew and then biblical. Note that I am NOT qualified to help people prepare for Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and do not teach cantillation.
