Tutoring Style and/or Experience

While I have no formal teaching qualifications, I have amassed plenty of informal teaching experience in the past and feel that I can teach a broad range of subjects in a way that is clear and enjoyable. The nature of my medical degree requires much self-directed learning and teaching of colleagues in the form of group tutorials and one-on-one discussion. As such I have developed a keen sense of how to pitch subjects at different levels in order to suit the audience.

I have an incredibly flexible approach to tutoring. I am more than happy to discuss lesson plans with tutees and parents before sessions in order to guarantee that students learn in the way that is most effective for them. I can provide broad learning of the fundamentals of a subject, detailed assistance on key topics and assistance with examination technique if required. My priority is to ensure that the student comes away from each lesson with an ever increasing understanding of a subject, but more importantly it is to ensure that students learn the tools and approaches they need to maximise their potential.

I am also available for tutoring for the GAMSAT entrance exam to medical school.
