I start the tutoring by having the student listen to the language being spoken/sung at first. As children, we learn to speak our native language by hearing it first, not writing it down. I include music into the lessons, not only because the student can listen to the language being spoken, but also learning new vocabulary. For example, the translated version of "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes". With that they learn body parts and hear it being spoken. "The Skeleton Song (La Chanson Des Squelettes)" is learning about time.

I utilize many forms of teaching styles, because everyone's learning style is different. Music, writing, reading, hearing, everyone's style is different, and I try to find out their style and use that the their advantage.
