Tutoring Style and/or Experience

Hi! I am a PhD student in Classical Studies (Latin and Greek) on a prestigious Dean's Fellowship at Boston University and currently possess a Master's degree in Humanities with a Concentration in Classical Languages. Previously, as an undergraduate, I majored in Politics and minored in Classical Languages.

I have several years experience tutoring junior high, high school, and college students in Latin and Greek. I have also taught Latin courses at the high school and college levels. Consequently, I am acquainted with just about every elementary Latin textbook.

In addition, I have significant experience in Spanish, French and Italian, and can assist you in learning to read or speak these languages. I earned a score 5 on the Spanish Language AP Exam; I lived and studied in France for a year; I studied Italian for 3+ years at the college level, and lived in Italy for 6 months.

I understand the challenges that go with learning a foreign language, and I have specific strategies for improving your grasp of the elements of grammar that are so necessary for success. And fortunately for you, I think it's safe to say that I've been given a pleasant, engaging, and cheerful personality.

I have a very flexible schedule. Please contact me at your convenience to set up an appointment.
