I received my Bachelors of Arts in Spanish in December of 2010. Learning a foreign language is never easy and I think that utilizing a tutor/conversation partner will provide an advantage to any student. I would like to develop a plan with my students (and/or their parents) to determine specific goals and areas of need. In general, most plans would include time spent working on grammar topics, work on class related vocabulary, time dedicated to conversing in Spanish in order to improve listening and speaking abilities, discussion of class-related reading material where applicable, and essay work (from brainstorming and outlining to proofreading) in upper level courses. While I think that a comprehensive plan such as the one stated above is the best path towards bilingualism, I am also available for topic-specific tutoring sessions (such as if a student is having difficulty with one grammar topic in particular).
