My name is John and I am currently in the final semester of the University of Dallas MBA program with a concentration in corporate finance.

From 2003 to 2009 I was a United States Marine holding various leadership positions. Through this experience I developed high level organizational and leadership skills that allowed me to lead up to 35 people in accomplishing a common objective. I have been tasked with many different assignments that required operating in high-stress conditions, and I learned to adapt and overcome obstacles in the process. During two Iraq deployments I received several awards for outstanding performance.

Prior to entering the service, I spent two years as a marketing representative with Deloitte & Touche in Dallas. For the past three years, while completing my MBA in April, I have acted as a consultant for a security and logistics firm in Virginia and tutored college and graduate-level math, corporate finance and all Microsoft Office (these are my tutoring subjects preferred) to supplement income.

Given my background in management and leadership, I believe I would be a particularly good fit for a tutoring position at your firm. Beyond that, I possess the characteristics and mentality of any good Marine: I am loyal, disciplined, tenacious and determined. I would welcome the opportunity to apply my skills toward the achievement of your clients’ objectives. I am available any time of the week (Monday-Sunday). I would be willing to travel up to 15 miles to tutor a client.
