Richard is an Associate Staff member at MIT Lincoln Laboratory where for the past eight years he has applied mathematical concepts to problems of national security and safety, particularly in the field of aviation collision prevention. His duties involve continually learning, as well as communicating technical information to audiences of diverse educational backgrounds. He is proficient in a number of object-oriented computer programming languages including C++ and Java. He uses calculus, geometries, trigonometry, physics and mathematical problem solving skills on a daily basis. He holds the Bachelors and Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, and has been granted a Preliminary License by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to teach Mathematics at grade levels 5 through 12. He lives in Framingham, Massachusetts with his wife and infant daughter, and considers himself a committed disciple of Jesus Christ.
