My tutoring style is collaborative and I feel that the tutoring relationship is one between equals. I take the time to understand what is expected in the course in question and to understand the potential challenges unique to the individual. I then focus on creating an action plan to address these challenges. I utilize various teaching techniques to help create interest in the subject and help to look at problems from different perspectives. I particularly like to use online teaching tools that generate flash cards, multiple-choice quizzes and short test so that the individual can gain experience with the material in a variety of ways. My hope is that through tutoring with me, a new appreciation for psychology will be generated and a greater understanding of the field achieved.
