In New York City students face some of the most formidable compitition from kindegarten to highschool. Specialized programs signify success in NYC and are the aspirations of students and parents across the city. Students compete with children who attend school far past standard school hours, attend schools on saturday, and are enrolled in summer programs. For many children finding themselves at Styvsant or Bronx Science may be slightly out of reach despite exemplary marks.

Hiring a tutor is an excellent way to keep your child ahead of the game. I am a NYC teacher with seven years of tutoring experience. I have taught middle and highschool specializing in reading and writing. During the summer, I have spent my hours preparing students for standardized tests such as the SAT and the SHSAT. Every child I tutor is an unique case in which I target their specific areas of need. I will provide your students with the appropriate materials, test taking skills, and writing strategies to place them ahead of their peers.

My services can be provided at your home or at a convenient location. After meeting with your child I will create a personalized program for him or her. The program will cater specifically to the academic areas in which he or she needs growth. After which, sessions will take place once or twice a week with home work in the interim.
