Chloe A. Tutor Profile
Tutor Personal Information
Tutoring Style and/or Experience
Hello, My name is Chloe. I have been tutoring liberal arts subjects - ranging from music and art, to English and test preparation, to film making and public speaking - for the last ten years. In 2005 I earned the Congressional Award Gold Medal for my teaching and volunteering. I have also worked as a personal mentor, a free-lance music tutor, and a Montessori music instructor.
My mother developed a college prep program about five years ago, and since then I have toured with her, helping teach her seminars. We focused on test taking skills, resume development, strategizing with college applications and essay writing, as well as several sessions on how to get scholarships. I taught a number of my own classes as well as helping her with her sessions. I love working with students and helping them get ready to take on the challenge of preparing for the tests that will open up the doors of education for them. My goal is to work closely with student and parent to create a comprehensive strategy to take the student anywhere they want to go.
In addition to SAT/ACT and college entrance tests I love working with young students to prepare them for tests like the SSAT and the ISEE. I give my students test taking skills that they can use not only to ace the test at hand, but also as they continue taking tests throughout their academic careers. With this in mind I work on review of material as well as on test taking strategy. Test taking is about showcasing what you know. Your students deserves all the tools they need to show their skills to the full extent of their potential.
Above all, I am a continuing student, eager to learn with each new experience, each new opportunity, and each new person I meet. So I look forward very much to meeting you!
