Tutoring Style and/or Experience
I am a graduate student at Ball State University and while an undergraduate I tutored for two years at the Learning Center. I tutored anywhere from one to four students per hour session. I prefer the one on one set up as I believe I can tailor the session much more to the strengths and weaknesses of the particular individual. I tend to take a very student driven approach, letting them tell me what's wrong and what they don't understand. I encourage them to think about formulating their own answers rather than always expecting answers from me. I use analogies a lot to bring concepts into focus for students. I am friendly and approachable and appreciate the student-tutor relationship. I look forward to working with you.

| I graduated Magna cum Laude from the Honors College at Ball State University. I had the Presidential Scholarship all four of my undergraduate years as well as the Mertens Aware for Excellence in Genetics. I was also awarded a Honors Undergraduate Research Fellowship during my thesis research/composition. |
