I am a twenty one year old graduating student from Marymount Manhattan College, located in New York City. I have completed my student teaching (Sept. 2009 - Dec. 2009) and will have completed all requirements for my bachelors degree as of June 26, 2010. Due to the timing of my college, I will not be able to receive my teaching certification until September 1, 2010. As far as my educational background is concerned, I majored in History, and Secondary Education and minored in Asian Studies.

As an educator I find the best approach to learning is to guide the student to discover the content as best they can on their own. While I provide the basic tools to build a foundation, the student should be able to then build upon that in order to form his or her own concrete ideas and understand of themes. While my focus is on giving the student the necessary resouces to expound on their understanding, I am a strong and supportive influence. I believe every student can learn, however ever student learns differently. It is a matter of trial and error until we find which techniques work best.
