Tutoring Style and/or Experience
My one-on-one tutoring style is focused on the student’s pace and encouraging questions. I seek to help the student develop their problem solving skills and physical intuition by highlighting conceptual patterns and giving real world examples. By gradually transitioning from showing a student how to work through a problem to solving a similar problem on their own, I push students to develop confidence in their abilities and recognize underlying physical principles.
I have two years of paid tutoring experience both privately and through the Physics Department at Haverford College. Additionally I have extensive informal tutoring and mentoring experience with peers in the physics and math departments.
