I would have to say that my tutoring style completely changes depending on the student. When approaching a foreign language, I think it's important to look at the student's background and comfort level with the language. Depending on the type of learner, we may work with more audio and drilling exercises, or going more visual with games and flash-cards. Most importantly -- I firmly believe in positive reinforcement and kindness when working with a student.

I've both worked as a tutor throughout university as well as teaching Japanese to (mostly elementary students) during the school year and now post-graduation.
