Tutor Personal Information

I understand that the SAT is a crucial aspect of undergraduate admissions, as the GRE is for graduate admissions, and the preparation and study needed for these exams is just as critical as it is for the schoolwork in class. With myself as a tutor, the students will not only have a strong foundation in math and writing, but also learn all the key tricks and shortcuts to scoring in the 98-99th percentile on the SAT/GRE, giving them valuable leverage into any university of their choosing.
Additionally, I have four years of teaching experience as an English teacher to students of all ages back in China. I have taught young elementary school students all the way up to professional school students. From this, I have a clear understanding of how to appropriately communicate with students of different ages, and have incredible patience and ability to help a student succeed. I have also tutored a number of students on the SAT/GRE, and all have reached their target score.
Finally, I actually have legal guardianship of my younger brother, and have single handedly raised him for two years now. With my tutoring and careful guidance, he is easily one of the top students of his school, with a report card displaying straight As and A+s. I also am very familiar with high school material as I have started preparing him for ninth grade the next
school year. This also demonstrates that I am truly a responsible, caring and very passionate individual when it comes to the upbringing and education of a child.

I am going to be a secondary (grades 6-12) science teacher at a Detroit city district school this upcoming school year with the Teach for America non-profit organization, so look out for me as your science teacher at school!
