Tutoring Style and/or Experience
As a Mathematical Economics major and a Latin and Journalism double minor at Wake Forest University, I am well versed in topics that range across the humanities. I graduated from my private high school with a 3.7 GPA and now have a 3.5 as a sophomore at Wake Forest. I began tutoring young elementary school students as a recreational hobby when I was only 12 years old, and have continued to tutor on a regular level more recently. I have been described as having remarkable patience and a love for teaching along with a developed understanding of students from the junior high/high school age range.

| Multiple awards in Latin, such as the National Latin Exam (Gold medal, Silver medal, Bronze medal), the National Mythology Exam, and the CAV Exam. Furthermore, I placed 2nd in the state for Derivatives, 3rd for Grammar, and 8th for vocabulary at the annual state convention. I am currently conducting Mathematics research with a professor at WFU and was selected, one of seven from 150 students, to present my findings at a state symposium. My in-depth study of Math for my major makes the basic essentials of calculus, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry fundamental. Furthermore, I placed third in the nation for writing an essay with a classical theme. I consider my writing style to be articulate and thorough as well as grammatical. |
