Tutor Personal Information

I was a professional teacher for 4 years until I started having children. During that time I did extensive one-on-one tutoring with my students to help them to understand the materials we were covering. Before that, I was a tutor for both honors level and general Biology at college. Before college, I taught an elementary level Gifted/Talented science class alongside my mom. I have tutored in classroom settings up to 15 students, as well as tutoring one on one. I enjoy teaching in the inquiry method. I find out what is interesting or difficult for the student and I expand upon that. We have discussions so that the learning is intrinsic, and we also learn vocabulary. I also use hands on labs and activities that are directed by me but designed largely by the interest of the student.
