Tutoring Style and/or Experience
Our tutors nurture the whole child. We search for ways to make students successful through finding and building upon their own skills. We help children and young adults with organizational skills, task planning and follow-through, and offer subject-based remediation and homework help. All of our tutors are trained in the specific area in which your child needs assistance. Children and tutors are matched based on tutor subject specialization and personality. If you would like to have your children begin to believe in themselves as much as you do, please consider our services. We work to empower kids by giving them tools for success in school.
If you have been through many tutors and agencies, I offer a very different model for student success.
About us: Our founder struggled with learning difficulties for most of his elementary years. Living in impoverished areas with little to no access to services to help accommodate his learning style, he dropped out of school in 9th grade due to a fear of violence at the school and a fear of failure in the classroom. He returned to school to attend a private school in Winnetka after proving his abilities to them and graduated as valedictorian. He went on to become a certified snowboard instructor, emt, and certified teacher. In deciding his passion was to help kids who struggle with the same issues he did, he created the whole child. His background is in education and social work and he is currently finishing his masters in both Social Work at UIC and Education at Norhtwestern.
Our mission at Whole Child Tutoring is to help kids understand how successful they can really be when they are given the chance to show what they know. Every kids deserves a level playing field and at Whole Child Tutoring, we try to level the playing field for kids who struggle with learning issues.
