Tutor Personal Information

Name: Andrew B.
Gender: Male   Age: 22-25
Tutoring Style and/or Experience

As a tutor, I will work through subject specific example problems with the student in order to find out where the student is struggling. Then, I will figure out simple ways to explain the processes or techniques that make them practical. I believe that if students understand why they need to learn the subject matter and how it relates to the real world, they will be much more eager to learn and fully understand what is being taught. Also, since I am only 23, I have the added ability to relate to young and struggling students and further ignite their desire to learn.

I have a Bachelors degree in Engineering Physics from the Colorado School of Mines, and am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am very well versed in math and science, and would be an ideal tutor for any math class up to Calc. 3, and any physics related class up to a junior college level. Being an engineer, I have lots of experience with computers, and could easily teach anyone basic computer skill such as using Microsoft Excel, and programming in C++. I can also help with basic English and writing skills.
